For Kyle ?

This is Kyle, one of the poster children of Reece's Rainbow.

 

You can see why - he is just the cutest kid ever, with those big, beautiful,hopeful brown eyes, the wispy hair, the chubby cheeks.

This picture was taken a few years back, when Kyle was still at the baby orphanage, where, on the whole, the children are loved and cared for.

He was available for adoption, and would have just thrived in a family, surrounded by his mommy and daddy, maybe siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

He would have been able to go to school and receive any needed therapies.

He would have soared, as so may children adopted into loving families have.

He would have been loved.

Unfortunately, the chances of that ever happening are very slim.

His country of birth recently made it impossible for Americans to adopt from there.

They are also, I believe, trying to stop adoptions by anyone other than citizens of their own country.

The leader of the country believes their children are better off staying where they are.

He claims his country can care better for their orphans than anyone else.

Tell that to Kyle.

I almost wish I could tell you that he passed away, that we no longer have to worry about his fate.

But, I can't.

 

This is the most recent picture of him, at almost 8 years old.

No more wispy hair.

No more chubby cheeks.

No more hope.

 

It breaks my heart knowing that I cannot do anything to help Kyle.

I can't advocate for him, raise money for his adoption grant, or shout for a family to step forward for him.

Kyle is obviously in a terrible place, receiving maybe the bare necessities of life.

If you're a praying person, please pray for Kyle.

Pray that he doesn't suffer starvation or abuse.

Pray that he doesn't lie in his own waste night and day.

Pray that he doesn't resort to self abuse to fight the constant boredom.

Pray that Kyle doesn't suffer any more.

Pray for all of the Kyles that we don't know about, and can no longer help.

 

 

Below, you will see many many names, and a few faces.

These older children are still available for adoption - they are not in Kyle's country.

Some of them are still in wonderful baby orphanages.

Some have been transferred, already, to mental institutions.

They may be in a different country, but the conditions are the same, in many places, as the institution Kyle is in.

The difference - it isn't too late for these children,

We CAN still help them.

We can still advocate.

We can still raise money for their adoption grants.

We can still shout for their families to see them and say "MY CHILD"

 

Please - for Kyle - see what you can do for one or more of these children ?

Pray for them.

Share them.

Donate to them.

Do ANYTHING - just don't look away and do nothing.
