Here we go !!

Now, let's start growing the grants of the children below, and get them all up to and beyond $100 !!!

Welcome to the new and improved version of the Zero the Zeros !!

If you don't know what I mean - it's nothing too crazy, just that due to the changes implemented in the way Reece's Rainbow hold adoption grants for older children, we no longer have to worry about zapping the zeros of children over the age of 10 !! (yes, I know that was a really long sentence, but I'm sticking with it) !

In a nutshell, ALL children aged 10 and over are now eligible for a $10,000 adoption grant, regardless of how much they had in their grants before the changes !!

Something to remember, also, is that if these children reach the age of 10 before they are adopted, their adoption grant will be added to the older child grant pools, and they will become eligible for the older pool grants ! Of course, we want to see them adopted BEFORE then - the sooner the better - but if not, their grant will benefit ALL of the over 10 crowd. Talk about a win-win situation !

Just 18 15 14 10 8 7 3 2 older children have ZERO in their grants - but we all know that each and every child is worth so much more than zero. Let's show the world that we see value in every single child, and ZAP those zeros !

THEN we can start adding to the grants of all of the other children listed above.
There are 128 children between the ages of 6 and 9 years who have more than zero, but less than $100 in their adoption grant.

However, sharing is free, and sharing is what will get these kids home into a family. Back to the beginning

In light of the upcoming changes to the way grants are allocated to the children aged over 10, I thought I would do some housekeeping on this blog.

If you haven't heard about the changes, please go HERE to read all about them.

Below is a list of the older children who were listed and had donation buttons as of September 2011 - every single child listed below had precisely ZERO in their grants back then !

Most of the children have a much more substantial grant now - many, thanks to New Hope grants, gifted to them from children no longer available for adoption, due to the Ru$$ian adoption ban.

MANY children have been adopted and are already home with their families !!!

Many have families actively working to bring them home !!!

These kids had ZERO 4 1/2 years ago !!!!

After May 6th, the older children (aged 10+) will no longer have individual grants. All of the monies in their grants will be combined into a pool, after which each child will be eligible for a $10,000 grant once a family commits to adopt them !

I'm showing this list to show how much - or how little - each child has had as an available grant up to this point. The change in grant policy means that even those who have barely had any donations to their grant in the past 4 1/2 years will be eligible for the $10,000 grants !! Hopefully many more of these children will find homes now.
